- - - - - - - - - - - - - alexander ryan mcgregor-preston was an fairly easy child. he didn't cry much and he slept all night, waking up at around seven every morning, but rosa couldn't allow herself to complain. she loved her son more than anything in the world. and right now it was around seven in the morning. rosalie woke up, because she heard alexander laying in his cradle talking a bit. it wasn't talk though, it was just words, but they made rosa smile. she stood out of her bed and walked over to where he was laying and smiled down at him, stroking his stomach. "hi baby." she said with a big smile, so alexander smiled back at her.
alexander's last name wasn't official. it wasn't "mcgregor-preston", not according to her father. according to him it was just mcgregor. luke didn't existed in his world. but rosa wouldn't deny that she was in love with luke and he seemed to care a lot of about alexander. he was not at the birth, but all he had done these six past months was more than enough for rosa. rosa's father had no idea that a few times a week, these past six months, luke had been sneaking up to her room to spend time with her and alexander. because it often happened in the day hours. and at this time, he used to take off for work and then it would just be rosa, alexander and a few maids. but they only came to rosa if she called for them.
rosa made a face down to alexander and then reached down and picked him up. he was the cutest thing she had ever seen. rosalie pulled on her kimono and opened the door and headed downstairs to the kitchen while carrying alexander. she met her father there, he was reading the paper and drinking coffee. he looked up as he heard rosa's light steps. "morning, rosie. did you two slept good? what are you plans today?" he asked with a caring smile. rosa placed alexander in the tall chair next to her father while walking towards the refrigerator and found a bottle of milk. "i've slept excellent and i think my big boy slept very well too." as she said that, she made a face towards alexander so he giggled. she placed the bottle in the microwave and turned around looking at her father again. she couldn't exactly tell him that she expected luke to show up every minute. "well, i'm going to look after my son. maybe go for a walk with him. maybe read a book.." she had to make all this up - because in reality, she would either have sex with luke or just talk to him or even just watch him taking care of alexander. all three things meant a lot to her.
then her father nodded, walked over towards her, kissed her forehead, headed back to alexander patted his head. "i'll see you tonight, angel. i think its going to be late tonight.. don't wait up." he said and waved, before walking off. right after there, alexander's bottle was finished. rosa took it out, walked over to alexander, picked him up and quickly went back to her room. she then sat down on her bed, feeding her son when she heard something on her window. sounded like pebbles being throw at the glass. after alexander finished the bottle, she laid him back in his cradle and walked over there and saw luke standing outside. a smile crept across her lips and she opened the window for him to enter.

Luke was tired of this hide and seek game he was playing with Rosalie's father, Aiden. The guy didn't like him, at all. He would say that the man hated him but Rosa had assured him that there was the tiniest bit of love for him from her father because he had helped to create Alexander, the new love of Aiden's life. From what he had heard from Rosa, Aiden knew nothing about them seeing each other and he thought that Luke had forsaken all duties as a father to his son. Which was completely untrue. But, of course, they couldn't let the old man know that. The guy would probably have a heart attack. Or, maybe kill Luke. Who knew? Lucas shook his head and waited until he saw the old man leave, hiding in the bushes on the side of Rosalie's house until he was sure that the coast was clear. When he heard the car drive away and the street was completely devoid of sound, he began throwing small pebbles at Rosa's window, wanting to get her attention. It was their all clear signal.
After a moment, he smiled as Rosalie opened the window and stepped back, allowing him to crawl through. Once he was in, he closed the window to avoid causing a draft in the room and to ensure that if her dad happened to come back, nothing would look out of place. Luke dusted off his leather jacket from where he had been lying on the ground and smiled, walking over to Rosalie and taking her into his arms gently. His hold was loose and gentle, comforting. He pressed a soft kiss to her forehead before capturing her mouth with his own. Lucas had once been a player, participating in one night stands and playing girls off of one another. He had even had two, maybe even three girlfriends at a time just because he could. But, when he had met Rosalie, that had come to a halt. In the beginning he had thought that he would cheat on her just as he did all of the others girls but something about her had stopped him from doing so.
And, later on, when she had gotten pregnant, all ideas of doing so had left his head. He had fallen in love with her and the son that they had created together, Alexander. Luke knew that he had a family to take care of now and that had matured him, considerably. The only person who didn't realize that was Aiden and it was understandable, considering that he didn't want to be around Luke. He sighed softly as he kissed Rosalie, reveling in the feeling of having her in his arms. Damn, he loved her. "Hey you." he finally said, breaking their kiss but still holding her close to him. "How's the munchkin?" he asked, his eyes lighting up with adoration and complete affection for the baby he loved.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - luke had been a bad boy in the past, but when rosa had admitted to him that she was pregnant with his child, it had all changed to the better. he had admitted that he had fallen in love with her and rosa had told him the same thing back. sure, he hadn't been around when alexander had been born, but rosa was sure there was a good explanation to that. besides, everything he had done in these past few months, made it all worth it. luke was one of the most considerate people she knew, he closed the window after he came in, not to cause a draft that could make alexander ill.
on the inside, every time luke took her in his arms, she swooned. he was the perfect gentleman when it was just him and her. and towards alexander, he was the best dad someone could wish for. as his lips reached hers, she kissed back and right then, alexander started saying something no one could understand. rosa looked over shoulder and smiled. "he knows you are around.. go over there, luke." she said with a smile, pushing his gently over there. rosa followed him, because she loved seeing how good luke was with his son. it melted her heart every time.

Lucas felt at peace when Rosalie kissed him back. As he kissed her, their son piped up his own soft, incoherent greeting. They broke the kiss and Luke had asked how he was doing. Instead of giving him a reply, Rosa nudged him towards where the baby lay, telling him that the boy knew that he was around and that he should see him. Luke smiled, kissed Rosalie softly once more, and walked over to his son. He scooped the small child into his arms, cradling his head in the crook of his elbow, the rest of the boy laying on his forearm as he cradled him to his chest. He pressed a kiss to the baby's head and smiled down at him, his heart melting when the little boy's hand reached up to touch his face, his small fingers touching his father's lips. He softly kissed the baby's fingertips and the boy giggled, smiling up at his father. He leaned his head down and kissed the boy again, feeling the little hand on his cheek this time.
He moved over to Rosalie and wrapped his free arm around her, pressing a kiss to the top of her head as he held the two things he held most dear to him. He loved this girl and the little boy they had accidentally brought into the world. However, he didn't think of Alexander as an accident, he saw him as a gift and a new start. He hoped that one day, Aiden could get past his biased views against him and see the man he had become. He hoped that he would accept him dating his daughter and even marrying her later on. Lucas wanted his child to have a father and so he was bound and determined to stay with his mother. He wanted them to be a family. People he used to hang out with may call him weak or whipped but he saw himself as a new man. A happier one as well. He was more loving and affectionate and he had people that truly loved him. That was enough for him. More than enough.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - rosa just had time to kiss him back, before he walked over towards alexander's cradle. she stood in a safe distance and just noticed and followed everything that happened. anything else didn't mattered at all in this moment. it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen; the man from her dreams and her beautiful son. and all those things, luke did to alexander - making him smile and giggle and allowed him to touch all those weird places. seeing luke being close to alexander melted her heart and it made her fall in love with him all over again.
after a few minutes of watching them, she noticed luke coming over to her and pulled her close. and rosa smiled at him while he was kissing her forehead. all there needed now was them being an actual family - but in rosa's head they already was. she just wanted her father's blessing, but that was a battle to get. right now, though, she didn't wanted to think about him. she smiled at him, leaning in to kiss him, while he held alexander in his free arm. after the kiss, she whispered to him; "i love you, lucas xander preston. one day, i'll marry you. no matter what my dad says.." she convinced him with a smile.

Holding his two favorite people in the world made his heart soar. Lucas felt his heart and chest warm up with something akin to pure love. He felt like grinning until his face stuck that way. He gently rocked the baby as he held Rosa against his side. She smiled as she looked up at him and he grinned back before she pressed her lips against his own and kissed him softly. Luke kissed her back and then heard her speak upon breaking their kiss, saying that she loved him, calling him by his full name which caused him to smile, and that she would marry him one day no matter what her dad said. Luke smiled and kissed her again before speaking up himself, "I love you too, Rosalie Sophie McGregor. To the moon and back." he told her, kissing her again. "And one day, you will be Mrs. Lucas Xander Preston." Luke grinned as he said this because just saying it caused butterflies to flap wildly in his stomach. He loved the sound of that.
After a moment, he let his hand trail down her back and then let it fall from her body as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small promise ring. He took her hand in his own free one and slipped the ring on her finger expertly as he spoke, "I'm sorry it's not an engagement ring but this is my promise that there will be one in the future." he said softly, pressing a kiss to her forehead once the ring was on her finger and his arm was wrapped around her again gently. He really loved this girl and he wanted to be a family. Hell, they already were a family, but he wanted it to be official in front of everyone eventually. Luke softly kissed her again before resting his forehead against hers. He wondered what she was thinking now.
