^{----- compared to many, joanna has had a very privileged life. her family comes from wealth to begin with but both her parents also made a good living by working their way up in the business world. jo grew up in san francisco and was always the good girl with good grades. her parents pressured her to be above average and although her life was seemingly perfect on the outside, she really just wanted to break away from her image. her parents influenced everything she did from extracurricular activities to the people she hung out with. when joanna was fifteen she met cole de vega and although he was completely opposite from herself and everything she knew, she was quickly intrigued. it wasn't long before the two began dating and not long after that, they found out that jo was pregnant. from the start her parents didn't like cole so they obviously didn't support the pregnancy once they found out. at sixteen, joanna gave birth to a baby girl named stevie marie de vega. still, her parents continued to make life unbearable in her house. that was when cole and joanna decided to leave. jo dropped out of school, they took money from her parent's bank account and they fled to southern california. the two ended up relocating in the small town of laguna beach and with a few white lies here and there they had their first home. things were good for awhile but money didn't last forever. that was when cole went back to his roots and began drug dealing. at first, joanna was against it, but once she saw the profit, she hesitantly gave into his lifestyle. she's got her GED and took up the role as a stay at home mom. now, at twenty, things are slowly falling apart and she's slowly trying to get back on her parents good side - even if it means moving back to san fran. FRIENDS. it's kind of hard to hate this girl because she's so sweet and innocent - looking. she's very fun-loving and personable but can be a little dramatic and sarcastic. obviously, no childhood friends but she's been in laguna for four years so, she needs everything! she could use a best friend or a sibling-like relationship or two. ENEMIES. she wouldn't give people too much of a reason to dislike her but maybe people dislike her because she's with cole, or simply because they have a pre-judged image of her, since she has a four year old daughter. she's not confrontational, so chances are she'd stay far away from drama. LOVERS. this is all taken up, her past future and present!}

^{----- this is my baby boy, terrance! but please call him terri. he's nineteen years old and has spent his entire life on the west coast. he's the type of person that will stand up for himself or someone he loves, even if he knows he's gonna get his ass beat. he does what he wants, when he wants without considering anyone else's opinion. terri is the boy that tries and tries with the ladies, but usual ends up in the friend zone. he can play guitar and uses pierre spencer's band as an excuse to get girls. he was born in san diego but was adopted by a family whom resided in laguna beach. growing up in a seaside town allowed terri to embrace the stereotypical californian lifestyle. from a young age he took up surfing and skateboarding. he liked sports and has always been very competitive. he has always been very energetic and fun loving but his care-free attitude often got him in trouble in school. during school, he wasn't popular, but he got along with just about everyone - except some of the guys. he was sporty, he played soccer and was kind of like a class clown. if he wasn't in trouble, he was seconds away from getting into trouble - but he always got good grades! in high school his parents were very pressuring and they had some big ideal image of how they wanted terri to be. back then, he figured that once he was done high school, the pressure would go away. but once senior year came to a close, his parents only began nagging him about college and it felt like they had his whole life mapped out for him. he decide to break off from everything that his parents wanted him to be. he just wanted to live his life without competing with everyone else. he dropped his parents dreams of him attending university and enrolled in community college to get a feel for what he wanted to do. now, he's finished up his sophomore year and is taking up his annual summer job at the local 'surf and sport'. FRIENDS. terri is very easily to get along with, specially if you're a girl ;) he's basically a good time but he has a very acquired personality. he's outgoing, sweet and is old fashioned when it comes to girls. but on the flip side he's a jerk, shallow, cocky and immature. since he's lived in laguna his entire life, he'd know practically everyone in this small town. he has a bromance in pierre spencer but of course could use a couple more best friends and probably lots of girls that are friends. ENEMIES. he will have some people that dislike him & straight up, i don't think a lot of guys would like him unless they're similar to him. but he welcomes the haters. LOVERS. his future is taken but he needs past girlfriends and all of that fun stuff.}

okay, so i can totally see these two being the best of friends for some reason. ivy was also born & raised in laguna before she up & left to new york for a year after high school. they could have been childhood friends & been those buddies that everyone knew in high school until ivy too broke away from her parents turning to wards partying as a means of escape. he could have tried & talked her out of it whenever he could, knowing she isn't like that. & he could have been one of the friends she completely ignored before going to new york so now that she's back he is sort of pissed at her for up & leaving without a word. add, delete, whatever. HAILEY AND JOANNA: i can totally see these two being good friends despite their age difference. hailey's a sweet, innocent, outgoing girl, somehow its always likely that they met and maybe became close. totally up to you.

NOELLE AND TERRI: i could see them possibly becoming friends. she'd probably warm up to him a bit upon finding out he was adopted considering she spent most of her life in the foster care system. she's pretty hard to get to know, though, as she doesn't really open up all that much, but its possible they could be somewhat good friends.

HAILEY AND TERRI: i have no idea, but she's lived in laguna all her life so there could be something here.

<sup>TERRI&IVY haha, i can too oddly enough. so, that sounds like a plan to me. terri's kind of the person that everyone knows anyway. but i like everything you said and i like the drama of her ditching him & all that. he'd definitely feel some type way & now that she's back she'll probably see a more ass-holey side of him. specially if they were really close and she just dipped. he'd be like "damn girl, gonna do me like that?!"

TERRI&NOELLE since noelle is a cute girl, i think terri would be the person to try and break down her walls and stuff. specially since she's "new" - when she first came to town he would've been like "fresh meat!" but yeah, if she ever opened up to him or something, they could relate on that level of being adopted. he could also maybe get to her open up a little more since he has a very out going / charismatic charm about him.

TERRI&HAILEY hmm, well they would've gone to high school together at some point, although he would've been older. i think he'd like her a lot - as a friend - because of her personality and how sweet & outgoing she is. i feel like they could be the fun pair of friends like when they get together it's just ridic haha. maybe he's like an older brother type figure towards her ?

JO&HAILEY ahah hmmm... maybe hailey is her babysitter or something and that is how they met? or they could live in the same appt. building or something. aside from that, i agree though they should be close friends!</sup>

NOELLE AND TERRI: yeah, i think him being outgoing and such would really open her up a bit. they could definitely bond over the whole orphan thing. they could be really cute friends! lol.

HAILEY AND TERRI: an older brother figure would be great for miss hailey. i can see her harmlessly teasing him about this or that just because she can and them being all crazy together!

okay, so it is hard for me to articulate how much i absolutely adore terri. like, it's really hard for me, okay? i really like him, a lot. and since he and ike are the same age and grew up here, i'm thinking it'd be kind of safe to assume they've known each other for awhile? maybe their parents had them on the same soccer team as kids or something and they both continued to play in high school and a friendship just kind of formed? i don't know, it'd be pretty cute. ike's kind of a serious guy and tends to get really embarrassed for other people. and so, like, maybe when they hang out or whatever, terri could do something goofy and ike could just be really embarrassed for him for the rest of the thread. and terri could always be like, "loosen up, ike!" and ike will be like, "noooo" or something and i don't know. i guess i'm trying to say that i think they would have awesome bromantic adventures together and that they should be best friends. you like or? c:

lol, yes! & oh yeah, i like that idea. she could totally go by the surf & shop to see if he still works there wanting to make peace with him & catch up with her best guy friend, since she really needs him. i could see them sort of causing a scene in the store as he tries to ignore her yet is so glad to see her, kind of fighting with himself. it would totally be funny like she would bring up a memory then he would laugh but try to compose himself wanting to stay mad at her.
