The bar was dark and the smell of beer and other boozes lingered heavily in the air. Avery wrinkled her nose as she entered the large room, careful not to bump into anyone who had already had a bit too much to drink this evening. She herself, was not interested in hooking up with anyone or drinking herself silly (she couldn't do that anyhow). Instead, Avery had heard from a few people in town that a pretty great band was playing here tonight and there was absolutely no way she was missing that.
When she neared the stage area, there was a band setting up already and she took the time to admire the equipment, and instruments. She could only assume from the amount of people she'd had to squeeze her small body past that these guys were the ones she's heard about before. For their sake she hoped they were as good as she was expecting. Avery had squiggled and squirmed her way to the front of their set up and she needed some good guitar riffs and drum solos to keep her happy meter at a ten. As far as she was concerned, whether she even talked to the band or not, they were auditioning for her.

tonight was just another night in the never ending saga that was terri and perri. the two had been best friends since childhood and since the day they met where one was, the other followed. there was never a dull moment when the two got together and once you got them going, there was no stopping them. tonight was definitely bound to be interesting though since perri's band was playing a local bar. perri and his band weren't well known or worldwide or anything of the sort, but they were just a few local boys trying to get their name out there, chasing the dream, getting the word out by playing sketchy venues all over town. and then there was terri, self proclaimed groupie and professional looker. he was supposed to help the band set up but in all reality he spent most of his time hitting on girls and telling them he was with the band, or in the band - you know, as an unspoken band member. tonight was no different. he checked out the hot blonde in the back with even hottter friends, made eyes at the red head and chatted it up with a few girls at the bar when he went to grab some food for his friend. shoving some fries into his mouth, terri wiggled his way through the crowd as the band began sound checking, the sounds of off beat guitars and drumming filling his ears. with ease he made his way to the front as perri walked to the edge of the stage to get his grub. "bro, check it out, the girl over there," he leaned over the stage as he spoke, nodding in the direction of the girl at the bar. "potential fangirl. she wants it." he said with a smirk and a chuckle before popping another fry in his mouth. "oh, and they didn't have whatever you wanted." he claimed, actually not even knowing what it was perri had asked for in the first place. "good fries though." he said while handing off the now half empty bakset of fries before scoping out the crowd around him. "oooh, check it, snow white just made an arrival!" he said to perri in reference to the brunette standing next to him. and just like that terri's focus was gone. "this band is pretty dope," he commented casually to the mystery brunette. "you're gonna be in for a treat." and with that he flashed a quick smile in hopes of starting up a quick conversation.

perri strummed a few notes on his bass guitar as he stood back from the speaker at the front of the stage, testing the pitch and sound before the show began. he and his band had a gig tonight, and no doubt his best friend, terri, was going to be around. he was supposed to be helping with whatever the band needed, but instead he used his time to flirt with girls. perri didn't care what he did, really, as long as he brought the food back he sent terri to get what felt like an eternity ago. seeing terri nearing the front of the stage, perri sat his bass guitar down in its stand and half-jogged over to where he stood. he took the basket of fries that had been brought to him as his brow furrowed. he didn't remember telling terri to get him fries, but he was so hungry that he didn't care, honestly. as he popped a couple of fries into his mouth, his blue eyes went to the girl that his best friend since childhood was point out. he couldn't help but smile at terri's words about the girl. "NO DOUBT YOU WILL CHARM HER AT SOME POINT TONIGHT." he was trying to quickly finish off the fries, so that he could get back to tuning his bass when terri spoke again and caused his eyes to once again go to where they were told to look. instantly they landed on the brunette that he had never seen before. in this town, perri knew everyone - whether they wanted to know him or not! this girl, though, was certainly someone he hadn't seen before. he watched as terri began talking to her, using - no doubt - his line about being with the band. perri just shook his head as a smirk appeared on his lips before tossing the empty basket to a stage hand and going back to his bass guitar at the center of the stage.

As her eyes wandered from place to place on the stage, Avery began to grow more and more anxious for the band to start. Her eagerness was only heightened when a sudden voice informed her that the band was "pretty dope". Avery jumped a bit when she was spoken to, chuckling lightly to herself afterwards. Only she would jump from a single voice in a room full of them. Avery turned to the right to face whoever was speaking to her and she met a charming smile. Before she spoke she gave the young man a once over, toying with her Deathly Hallows necklace. "So I've heard. There were some people in town talking about the show and I kinda made it a priority to come find out for myself just how good they really were. You've seen these guys before?" she asked, flashing a confident smile of her own. She had stopped herself before she began rambling. Though she had considered her ability to talk profusely a talent, not many others did and there was no sense in pushing her luck with it right now."I'm Avery, by the way." she went on, extending her hand for a shake. The familiar hum of a bass guitar tuning floated through her ears and a Avery grew more anxious. You could always count on Avery to be more excited for a show than anything else.

terri could tell that the girl next to him wasn't a local. for one, he had never seen her around before and terri was that person that knew of everyone, specially those who made up the female population. her appearance though was what gave her away the most. she didn't have the typical sun kissed glow or the beachy style that was accustom to those who resided in laguna. whether she belonged in laguna or not though, one thing that was for sure was that she was a cute - and he'd take any chance he got to shamelessly spit his game! "avery...never met an avery before." he pointlessly claimed as he reached his hand out to meet hers. "terrance, people call me terri...." he explained as a sly smirk began to tug at his lips. "but you can call me tonight!" he teased with a slight nod of his head as he pulled his hand back. for a brief second he glanced away and stared at the stage, watching pierre as he continued to soundcheck. "but, uh yeah, you know i go to a show or two. im kind of with the band," and there it was, his infamous line that he pulled at every show. " like an unspoken band member. im just here to make them look good. like 'dang, you boys are hot'!" he teased with a careless shrug of his shoulders as he looked back at her. "actually they just pay me to stand in the crowd so it looks like they have fans." he joked with playful grin. "nah, im joking but seriously though, they're cool kids." he explained as his eyes landed on perri one again. "bro! come here!" he called out in hopes of getting his attention.
